Robert Mondavi and Eduardo Chadwick searched for 4 years to find the perfect location for their joint venture. They launched a single estate, single wine project, Seña, that swiftly became Chile’s first iconic wine. Seña 2001 placed 2nd in the Berlin Wine Tasting of 2004, a blind tasting of premium wines from France, Italy, and Chile judged by 36 international wine experts. In a historic move, it placed ahead of European icons Margaux, Antinori, etc. This venture opened the world’s eyes to Chile’s ability to make internationally-recognized wines.
