Domaine de la Bégude featured in The Vintner Project
The Vintner Project published the story of the exceptional Bandol estate Domaine de la Bégude.
In an interview with Editor-in-Chief Rachel DelRocco Terrazas, winemaker Guillaume Tari describes his “rebellious, undisciplined” Mourvèdre, and his decades-long passion for crafting cellar-worthy, complex, and unique wines from this “wild child” grape.
“The Mediterranean is a specific place with a specific way of living,” says Tari, “but in the appellation Bandol, we have the spirit of people from the mountains. It’s a place of resistance.” Tari himself is a man of contemplation and resistance—and his history and style are evidence of that.
