The winemaker behind the Xavier Flouret Wines  “La Pilar” Malbec, Andrea Ferreyra, has been nominated for Wine Enthusiast’s Winemaker of the Year!

Andrea Ferreyra is the lead winemaker for Finca La Celia, the first winery in Argentia’s Uco Valley. For over two decades, Ferreyra has worked diligently to craft wines of finesse and authenticity. “Elegance, precision, and a commitment to place are Ferreyra’s calling cards…”, writes Wine Enthusiast, “…her wines consistently bring in acclaim and high scores, proving that the Andes can turn out premium Malbec and Cabernet Franc.”

La Pilar Malbec is a testament to Andrea’s meticulous knowledge of her terroir and attention to detail. The wine is rich and intense, with layers of dark fruit, spice, and a subtle hint of oak. Andrea’s hands-on approach in the vineyard ensures that only the best grapes are harvested, and her expertise in fermentation techniques allows her to bring out the true character of the Malbec grape.
