Château de l’Oiselinière from Muscadet is a new addition to our Loire Valley wines!

“A complex and aromatic wine. Fresh and beady with aromas of fruits and flowers (apricot and hawthorn). Mineral and iodine flavors emerge as well as an aroma of fresh melon. On the palate, it is pleasant with a good and lasting taste.”

Terroir: The 42 ha (104 acres) of Melon de Bourgogne are rooted in a rocky soil named Gabbro. The vines are between 45-55 years old.

Vinification: Mechanical and hand-harvesting. A short delay between machine pacing and pressing to reduce bitterness. A gentle pressing in a pneumatic press followed by maceration and clarification of musts for 48 hours. Slow fermentation for about 3 weeks and then the wine ages on lees for 9 months.
