Château de Valcombe is a marvelous 10-generation family-owned property in the Southern Rhône Valley. Since 1740, this southernmost Costières de Nîmes estate has been perfectly located between the regions of Languedoc and Provence with closeness to the Mediterranean Sea. Planted on a unique terroir with a thin layer of limestone, Château de Valcombe produces wines with a strong identity: They are refined and dynamic with exuberant freshness and minerality.

“The highest concentration of limestone in the region!”

REGIONAL PIONEERS…
Following the Second World War, the estate passed to Charles Ricome, who replanted most of the vineyards in 1955, he was the first to plant the famous Syrah grape in Nîmes. The reins were handed over to Charles’s son Dominique and subsequently his grandsons Basile and Nicolas. Sustainability is important to the Ricome family, and the entire vineyard has been following Organic regulations since 2017A few months ago, Château de Valcombe received the Certificate of High Environmental Value.
